CARROLLTON – A well-balanced attack led Ranchview over Ferris in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday night. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the 3rd quarter, at which point the Wolves were up by 30 points.
Ranchview got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rushil Allada out in front who threw for 214 yards and 3 touchdowns on only 16 passes. The team also got some help from Jamari Williams, who picked up 161 receiving yards.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zion Neal, who picked up 94 receiving yards, and also rushed for 72 yards. Another player making a difference was quarterback Tristan Cook, who threw for 404 yards and 3 TDs, but was also picked off for 3 interceptions.
Ferris didn’t go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cory Sampson and Caleb Stanley.
Ranchview is now 2-0. As for Ferris, their record currently sits at 1-1.
Both teams will hit the road for their upcoming games. Ferris will square off against Sunnyvale at 7 p.m. on Friday. As for Ranchview, they’ll challenge Burkburnett at 7 p.m. on Friday.
