Join us on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. as we will be hosting a Nickelodeon Kart Racers Tournament. Players will compete against one another in a bracket style tournament until one winner can be crowned!
Sept. 15 will be a special day at the Ferris Public Library as the community comes together for both civic engagement and cultural celebration. National Voter Registration Day is observed on Sept.15, and representatives from the Ellis County Elections Office will be at the library from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to assist citizens with the voter registration process and answer any questions. This is a great opportunity for eligible residents to learn more about registering to vote and make sure they are ready to participate in upcoming elections.
Sept.15 also marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the history, culture, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. To celebrate, the Ferris Public Library will host a special bilingual story time led by Mrs. Aurora Ramirez. Families are invited to enjoy stories in both English and Spanish, followed by a fun, hands-on craft, beginning at 4 p.m.
