WAXAHACHIE – Award-winning artist of watercolor and oil, Michael Holter will do a demonstration at the July 6 meeting of The Ellis County Art Association at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie (450 US287 BYP).

Holter’s paintings are in private and corporate collections in the U.S. and several foreign countries.

Holter has painted most of his life and has been an art teacher, creative director and businessman in fine art and commercial art.

He has owned and operated galleries and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education and an MA in Visual Communication.

He works in an impressionistic style, creating paintings of people or places, allowing the painting to evolve, balancing interest, believability and looseness with a painterly quality.

The meeting at FBC is open to everyone and begins at 6 p.m. with refreshments and socializing.

Announcements and business will start at 6:30 and the Demo will begin at 6:45 p.m.

It is free to attend and the public is invited.
