    ELLIS COUNTY – Weather permitting, the following overnight traffic impacts are scheduled as part of an ongoing improvement project on I-35E in Red Oak.

    All lanes of southbound I-35E will close and detour to the frontage road between Bear Creek Road and Red Oak Road from 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15 until 5 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16.

    Northbound I-35E will narrow to one lane in this corridor during this time.

    Expect delays and plan for extra travel time.

    The temporary traffic switch will allow crews to continue work on the FM 664 Single-Point Urban Interchange construction at I-35E. Overall completion of the $137 million project is expected in spring 2028.
