PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
of the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas
In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas, will hold a public hearing to consider the following items:
Conduct a public hearing, consider and take action regarding an ordinance of the City of Ferris, amending Chapter 154, Zoning Regulations, of the Ferris Code of Ordinances by amending Article 154.002 and 154.010 as it relates to boarding homes, short term rentals, and accessory apartments; providing a severability clause; providing a repealing clause, and providing for an effective date, and all matters related thereto.
Conduct a public hearing, consider and take action regarding an ordinance of the City of Ferris, amending Chapter 10, of the Ferris Subdivision Ordinance, of the Ferris Code of Ordinances by amending Article 10.202, 10.205, 10.208 as it relates to traffic calming, easements, and fire protection; providing a severability clause; providing a repealing clause, and providing for an effective date, and all matters related thereto.
The public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on these requests will be held before the City Council on Wednesday, December 17th, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Historic Scout House, located at 514 South Mable Street in Ferris, Texas 75125.
All interested in the proposed requests are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide their comments at that time. Comments may also be submitted in writing (or via fax or email) to the city at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the public hearing at the following address:
