City of Wilmer, Texas
In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Wilmer, Texas, will conduct a public hearing to consider the request of s, will conduct a public hearing to consider the request of Will Winkelmann, owner representative, for a Conditional Use Permit to allow for the use “Vehicle/Trailer/Container Storage Yard” for the subject property located at 300 Mars Road, City of Wilmer, Dallas County, Texas, 75172, also described as E Crockett ABST 223 PG 570, TR 3 ACS 31.29, DCAD account number 65022357010030000.

The purpose of this request is to allow for a Conditional Use Permit for the use “Vehicle/Trailer/Container Storage Yard” at the property 300 Mars Road. The owner intends to develop the property for the use of Commercial Trailer Sales and Leasing that will include Trailer Storage. This proposed request will have two (2) companion cases, one for a future land use map amendment and another for a zoning change from No Zoning to Light Industrial, that will each be published separately. Currently, the proposed use “Vehicle/Trailer/Container Storage Yard” requires the approval of a Conditional Use Permit within the Light Industrial zoning.
The first public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this zoning request will be held before the Wilmer Planning & Zoning Commission on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. inside the Wilmer Community Center, 101 Davidson Plaza, Wilmer, TX 75172.
A second public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this zoning request will be held before the Wilmer City Council on Thursday, January 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. inside the Wilmer Community Center, 101 Davidson Plaza, Wilmer, TX 75172.
