OVILLA – Ovilla City Councilmember and Access Storage owner Doug Hunt stepped out of his own city last week and was honored not once, but twice in one evening.
Hunt was recognized in DeSoto as a DeSoto Community Champion for his continued partnership and steadfast support of the City.
“Douglas has been a consistent collaborator and advocate, helping strengthen our community through his ongoing engagement and willingness to go above and beyond to support City initiatives and events,” said DeSoto Mayor Rachel Proctor.
“His dedication reflects the spirit of teamwork and civic pride that makes DeSoto thrive. Thank you, Douglas, for your lasting partnership, your leadership, and your continued commitment to helping DeSoto grow stronger together.”
From that recognition Hunt made his way to Red Oak ISD for his second recognition of the evening for Access Storage’s being chosen as a one of the Red Oak ISD Education Foundation’s its 2024-2025 Partners of the Year.
He had been unable to receive his award in April so the ISD presented his award last week while he was at the meeting doing the Top Hawks and Hawk Staff Spotlight awards as the first grading period sponsor.
