HUTCHINS – The City of Hutchins held its ribbon cutting ceremony for its new City Hall this week.
The building’s location is 400 N. J.J. Lemmon Road.
The New City Hall proposition was approved by Hutchins’s voters on Nov. 8, 2022, with 70.26% percent of voters approving.
Hutchins Mayor Mario Vasquez said, “This building is the product of vision, commitment, and, most importantly, the will of the people. “While the construction may be complete, our work is just beginning. Because this City Hall is not an endpoint – it is a starting line.
“It will be a foundation of future progress and a platform for public service.”
Big Sky Construction, who turned the plans for the City Hall into reality, commented on the project.
“Big Sky would like to thank everyone involved in this project, the City of Hutchins, architects, engineers, and the Big Sky Team and our sub-contractors, for all the group effort and collaboration working together through challenges and situations that come from everyday construction to get this project completed all while keeping the goal in focus
“We look forward to many future endeavors with the City of Hutchins.”
The new City Hall will also feature artwork from Texas artists with an eye toward celebrating Hutchins’ heritage, while also reflecting the diversity of its community, and creating a welcoming space for all.
