MIDLOTHIAN – A $24.8 million expansion project will be bringing greater emergency services and inpatient capacity to Midlothian’s Methodist hospital.

No specific date has been revealed, but construction will begin in 2025 on the 8,800-square-foot addition to the emergency department.

The emergency department will see 16 exam rooms and one new trauma room added.

A new CT imaging suite will be part of the expansion as well, alongside a refined EMS lounge, new breakroom for emergency staff, and over 30 additional parking spaces to improve the patient and first-responder experience.

The completion of the fifth floor of the hospital is also on target for completion with 15 additional inpatient beds.

Jary Ganske, president of Methodist Midlothian Medical Center said the expansion is about meeting “the full spectrum of Ellis County’s healthcare needs.

This investment allows us to deliver advanced care, with excellence and compassion, right here in Midlothian.”
