RED OAK – The City of Red Oak is looking for a new police chief.

Chief Garland Wolf retired last week after 12 years as the Police Chief in Red Oak.

Wolf has been in law enforcement for 29 years.

He began his career in Cedar Hill as a patrol officer.

He also served for seven years on the Southern Regional Response Group Special Response Team as a Commander.

It is uncertain who the City of Red Oak will name  to take on the Interim Police Chief role following Wolf’s retirement.

It is also uncertain if the city will promote from within for the open position or hire from outside the department.
