MIDLOTHIAN – Constituents came from all over Texas including Midland, Waco, Austin, and Tyler to hear State Representative Brian Harrison’s 89th session wrap-up.

Even the Vice-Chair of the Republican Party of Texas, D’rinda Randall, attended a long with 250 concerned Texas this past Friday.

Harrison represents District 10 in the Texas House, which includes Ellis County.

Harrison opened by stating it has been a rough six months for Texas.

“The fact that you are here is a testament that you understand how much is on the line not just in our country, but in our state,” Harrison explained.

“I believe that Texas is a state worth saving.”

The audience stayed engaged with thoughtful questions focusing on the failure of the legislature to address pressing needs that highlighted property tax relief for Texans.

Most people in the audience and many not in attendance are aware the 89th session that began in January and concluded earlier this month was one of the most disastrous sessions in recent history.

During Rep. Harrison’s Q&A, he talked about the power of the grassroots movement and gave a nod to his continued fight to help defeat the current establishment.

Harrison, who is definitely not status quo also reminded those in the audience he has fought hard for Texas and he has delivered a few victories for House District 10 as well.

While in office he has authored and saw passed an impactful workforce bill on behalf of Ellis County expanding Texas State Technical College in Ellis County, leading the charge to end COVID vaccine mandates, stopping taxpayer funding of the “Marxist-led” American Library Association, pressuring Texas A&M to cancel their LGBTQ Studies Minor, helping prevent people from getting regular ballots when they have non-citizen IDs, and ensuring illegal aliens do not receive education savings accounts.

Harrison has discussed Austin’s uniparty. He explained how it was able to gaslight voters by saying this was “the most conservative session ever” even as he exposed the truth about how government expanded progressive policy including DEI, how liberty was shrunk, and how property taxes are still skyrocketing.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has called a Special Session beginning July 21 and Harrison said he is hopeful property tax will be included.
