DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE: Nothing better than a bunch of socialists and fascists acting like they understand our Republic – but do we?

I’m thinking about making my column short this week.

Short and sweet because I’m heading to the Amazon this afternoon and going “Zen.”

Of course, coupling the words “short and sweet” with the topics of politics haven’t been America’s modus operandi for many years.

I had a good laugh last week and I didn’t get to mention it because as usual too many other things were brimming over in the world of political intrigue with the Trump tariff’s topic.

However, when a blue person told me (and they were serious) that there have never been tariffs on America from other countries, well I couldn’t hold the laughter inside my lightness of being.

In fact, this was the week my head spun around like in “The Exorcist” when I saw the dude had a straight face while saying it.

Is this what mainstream is vomiting these days?

While the peaceful protest from the democrats took place on April 5, I wanted to see what the actual count was after the event.

I learned there were many actors hired to play “protestors.” One woman even explained what she had to do to get the money after the protest. She made $110. It was originally $100, but if you brought a sign, they would give you an extra $10.

I’m not sure if the republicans hire protestors, but considering the blue people are down to about 27% (another mainstream media news bit so it could be inaccurate) do they need to anyway? I couldn’t find any Central Casting protestor hiring posts on the Republican party’s behalf.

I googled “April 5 million people protest” and the first magazine site that came up wanting to dazzle me with propaganda was The World Socialist Website: www.wsws.org/en/articles/2025/04/06/tlqt-a06.html.

I’ll let you do your own research on that.

I’m not saying there weren’t plenty of democrats at the protest nor am I saying there weren’t a million hot bodies playing blue that day.

Of course, there are real democrats who aren’t being paid and have a right to their voice. I respect that with no violence as much as I respect the red people.

What had me giggling though, was the socialist website that declared the protest was the best thing ever. Like, you know, almost as good as when men were saying they were women and going into women’s bathrooms or when USAID was pouring millions of blue and red people’s money into some of the most asinine black holes every invented.

And what was The World Socialist website’s headline… wait for it…. “Over 1 million protests across the US against Trump’s efforts to establish a fascist dictatorship.”

So, you have a socialist website (not a very popular party in America) with socialist defined “An economic and political philosophy that advocates for public ownership or control of property and natural resources, rather than private ownership with resources owned by the community or state” ranting against a supposed fascist (another party not immensely popular in America) government.

And if you’ren’t sure, fascism is defined as “A far-right political philosophy that exalts nations and often race above the individual with a form of government where most of the country’s power is held by one ruler or small group under one party.”

May I remind, the United States is a Republic where neither fascism nor socialism is part of the plan here. If you don’t believe me, visit a fascist or socialist country, and feel free to make the comparisons yourself.

I can tell you that it would be very unlikely that the little million-person protest would have been allowed in a socialist or fascist country – and no transgender parades either.

So, in my jaded political state lately regarding said socialist website article berating the “fascist dictatorship” in a Republic, it was nothing short of a jolly good read.

Red or blue, let’s get it right.

Call them what you want, rant all you want – but for every Trump hater there is a Trump lover. For every Elon Musk hater there are three that love him, and no one is going to be able to do a thing about it except allow your head to explode.

Where does that get you?

I’m not sure who said this, but it is true.

A country run by banks will always be in debt. Healthcare run by big pharma will never cure disease. A state run by war will never know peace. A nation run by the media will never know the truth.

That hit’s right where it hurts doesn’t it?

Every person in government at this moment should be asked to step down and be replaced by a representative who understands the dignity in representing constituents who trust them. Be honest, have you heard one person on either side of the aisle lately who has said anything positive about trying to get along. I hear no respect, no compassion, no kindness and little commonsense. It’s like thieves waiting for one false move on the other side so they can swoop down on the victim and point the finger. All the while not realizing their own wig (or eyelashes) are falling off and mask is melting.

In fact, things have gotten so gangsta in DC these days that you never know what you’re going to wake up to tomorrow.

I’m expecting the congress and senate to start calling for duels again, but with an added extra female version too. Or, in some cases since many members have not held another job in their life other than lifer politicians, they might have to demand dueling canes. 

Who knows – maybe President Trump can sign an executive order to bring duels back too.

It appears by the Civil War, this method of “boys just being boys” was quite frowned upon. That was not that long ago, but it seems it took the fatal duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr to wake our little “civilized” nation up.

Do we need that again? It’s a far cry from much America has come to stand for around the world.

The Hamilton-Burr duel was fought due to, you guessed it, political differences. Hamilton died due to the long conflict between Democrat-Republican and Federalist. I guess there was a time red and blue got along. Shall we bring the Federalists back?

And we thought we were a civilized nation.

We have progressed in many ways in America, are we again at the point where we are sliding into violence again?

Point is, we can’t take these complex topics anymore and dilute each one down to an emotional narrative of good guy versus bad guy with people buying into one side resulting in reactionary thinking. It’s taken decades of geopolitical maneuvering, military buildup, mainstream media narrative and the smell of the lobbyists and greed, to get where we are today – it’s not going to be a simple fix.

Trump’s turning everything upside down is the only way.

Why do you think these elected officials are screaming so loud for Elon to go down? If he does not they will.

Will the American people who mostly DON’T do their research, but instead listen to propaganda machines, digress back to the days of yore?

Or, is there a chance we can all learn civility while we perhaps wait together for the next big thing like aliens or AI (or are they one in the same)?
