RED OAK – Red Oak ISD is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Navigate360 National District Excellence Award in recognition of its outstanding work using the company’s Suite 360 curriculum to support students’ well-being and success.
Each ROISD school was also named a Character Excellence Campus for the implementation and fidelity use of the Suite 360 interventions and lessons.
The Suite360 curriculum is the backbone of the district’s Preventative Behavior Framework initiative to provide students with consistent expectations at all campuses and staff with unifying vocabulary and congruent, age-appropriate lessons.
The district and all seven campuses, including the District alternative education program with the high school, were presented with banners on March 8 to be displayed at the school.
The Navigate360 National District Excellence Award is a testament to Red Oak ISD’s commitment to creating a positive and nurturing environment for students, focusing on their mental health and emotional resilience.
This recognition acknowledges the district’s dedication to implementing effective strategies, programs, and initiatives that contribute to the holistic development of its student body.
“We are honored to receive the National District Excellence Award from Navigate360, which underscores our unwavering commitment to the well-being of our students,” stated ROISD Superintendent Brenda Sanford.
“At Red Oak ISD, we recognize the importance of utilizing effective tools and curriculum that address mental and emotional health as integral components of a student’s overall success and happiness, and Navigate360 has been a wonderful partner in that work.
“This award is a testament to the dedication of our staff, parents, and students who have actively participated in and supported these initiatives.”
The ROISD Preventative Behavior Framework was created to reduce discipline infractions by teaching students behavior expectations, intervening with assigned strategies, and supporting existing systems including character education, parent engagement, and staff training.
The outcome is wraparound levels of learning so students and families are hearing the specific expectations in school, district messaging on social media and directly to parents, together with the umbrella theme of What Would A Hawk Do? materials.
Each month focuses on one of the four Talons of the Hawk – Academically Prepared, GRIT, Character, and Service.
ROISD elementary schools and Red Oak Middle School utilize Suite 360 weekly lessons.
Red Oak High School and the alternative program use the Suite 360 interventions to correct student behaviors.
