MANSFIELD – Ramon McKinney Jr. rushed for 128 yards and threw for 52 yards and two touchdowns in the victory over Mansfield Lake Ridge at Vernon-Newsom Stadium.
The game was called at halftime after multiple weather delays. The second half will not be played. The win for Waxahachie (7-2, 4-2) clinches a playoff spot in District 11-6A.
Wade Lemons rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Rhett Butler caught a 14-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. Trenton Kid caught a 24-yard touchdown with 11 seconds left in the half to close the scoring.
Lake Ridge dropped to 0-9 overall and 0-6 in district play.
