    WAXAHACHIE – It was still dark when members of Texas Civil Defense, law enforcment officers and others gathered at the Waxahachie Civic Center at 6:30 a.m. to drive to Rockwall.

    The group met up with hundreds of others to honor Red Hawk Warrior (Chris Kyle), American Sniper, by escorting his life-size 1,000 pound bronze statue to the Waxahachie Civic Center.

    On loan from the Sovereign Cherokee Nation of Tejas, the statue will be unveiled on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m., during the Ellis County Veterans Celbration.

    The statute will be displayed at the Waxahachie Civic Center.
