ELLIS COUNTY – Ellis County continues to grow by leaps and bounds, and that growth does not seem to be ending anytime soon.
Particularly not if one local real-estate company has its way building a community in the area that is the largest of its kind to date.
RREAF Communities, created by RREAF Holdings, has its eye on 3,300 acres in Ellis County at FM 663 and FM 875, and is looking to develop a community that will boast not only commercial businesses, but also over 8,000 single-family homes, apartments, thousands of rental homes and a variety of additional amenities in the mix.
The community now known by locals as Hi View Ranch will also see a name change to Heirloom.
The land in question has been valued at $22.3 million, which is small change these days in Ellis County.
The development idea was released mid-last year after the land was purchased. In the next few years, home buyers can expect to see at least 580 single-family homes there if all goes as planned, as well as an apartment complex and rental homes in the Heirloom community.
If the development comes to fruition, it will also boast police substations, shopping, neighborhood amenities and a white sand beach.
