18-YEAR-OLD DROWNS AT LAKE WAXHACHIE

WAXAHACHIE – The body of an 18-year-old was recovered hours after he reportedly drowned in Lake Waxahachie, according to officials.

Police said officers were called to the lake on Saturday, July 8 around 1 p.m. and spoke with the victim’s family, who said the unidentified man was swimming hundreds of yards offshore when he went un­derwater, according to a re­port from WFAA-TV (Chan­nel 8).

Officials have only publicly identified the victim as an 18-year-old from Forney.
