ENNIS – Twenty-four-year-old Ennis resident Dontriel Perry was convicted of capital murder last week in a court of law in Ellis County.
Perry was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Perry and a second suspect drove upon Caleb Clark, 23, Rodney Dent II, 25, and a third man on December 4, 2020, opened fire and killed both Clark and Dent.
Ennis police stated, “Though a coordinated effort of lead detective Sgt. Jason York, along with Waxahachie Police Department, DPS Texas Ranger Adam Sweaney, DPS Laboratory, Ellis County District Attorney Ann Montgomery, Perry was found guilty of capital murder.”
