Wilmer city officials/staff celebrate Legislative Day

WILMER – Wilmer Mayor Sheila Petta, Councilmember Pamela Wash and City Secretary Mayra Ortiz were in attendance in Austin celebrating Legislative Day last month.

The group attended Legislative Day as part of the Leadership Southwest Class, in collaboration with the Best Southwest Partnership. 

“It is our goal to continue to participate in all the local and statewide legislative efforts to support the importance of this work,” Mayor Petta said. 

The Leadership Southwest class was in Austin representing about 10 cities, many chambers, school districts, businesses, entities, and leaders that have a continued mission for the area to expand and be recognized as a thriving region for future generations.
