ENNIS - A 33-year-old Ennis woman drowned Sunday night at Lions Park on Lampasas Street in Ennis.
When Ennis officers arrived at the park they retrieved the woman from the water, administering life saving measures unsuccessfully.
No further information was given at this time by the Ennis Police Department.
Lions Park sits on 18.5 acres and is known for its large pond jogging/walking paths.
Ennis PD reminded on Facebook, “In times like these, we are reminded of the danger waterways present, and also remind the public, it is unlawful to swim in any city lake or body of water.”
