WILMER – Wilmer Mayor Sheila Petta and City Councilmember Pamela Wash were recently awarded the Certified Municipal Official designation by the Texas Municipal League Institute in recognition of their commitment to continuing education.
The award was presented at the TMLI Awards Ceremony at the TML Midyear Pre-Conference on Wednesday, March 1 in San Antonio.
The recognition honors individuals who completed 72 or more continuing education units during the 2022 calendar year and is the top award in the TMLI program.
The required 72 CEUs included two hours of open government training.
