Women identified as mayor’s daughter

ENNIS – According to the obituary from the J.E. Keever Mortuary in Ennis, the woman found dead in a home on Dec. 18 was 36-year-old  Jenna Nicole Rejcek, the daughter of Ennis Mayor Angie Juenemann.

City of Ennis Police Department Public Information Officer Roger Cole stated  in an email, “Thank you for your inquiries.

“Due to the ongoing investigation, we have released what we can at this time.”

Rejcek was found dead in a home in Ennis and police said originally, they would not reveal the woman’s cause of death. They did say they responded to a “call of an unresponsive female on Linda Drive.”

They revealed upon arrival, police found the woman deceased.

They did not say how long she had been dead inside the house.

The obituary stated Rejcek was a registered nurse, the proud mother of three sons, and read, “We will never know how many people she helped and comforted and provided a loving ear and shoulder to lean on in the course of her work.

“The hours were long, and the work was hard, but she knew she had found her calling and was proud to be one of the extraordinary women and men called nurse.”
