BLOOD COVENANT (part 13)

But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. and he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. For these things were done that the scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.” And again another scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”JOHN 19:34-37

Jesus suffered and died with a heart broken over the sins of mankind. By the time He reached the cross on Golgotha he was suffering from hypovolemic shock caused from the loss of blood that was a result of His scourging.

He bled in seven specific areas to set us free from all of our sins, sicknesses, diseases, transgressions and iniquities making His sacrifice sufficient for us all to be set free once and for all. A perfect sacrifice from the death, burial and resurrection of a Lamb without spot or blemish who laid down His life that we might live forever.

His heart was broken to heal the brokenhearted of this world. All of the emotional trauma caused by failure, divorce, death and sickness was healed by the breaking of the Savior's heart. Is your heart broken? Did you know that He will heal you if you ask Him in faith believing in the “Blood Covenant” that was inaugurated for you with His own blood?

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”LUKE 4:18,19
