WILMER – A new single-family residential development is coming to the city of Wilmer.
The city received approval to develop 353 homes near Cottonwood on property south of Belt Line Road.
Cherrell Charles, senior planner for the city of Wilmer said, “Currently a signed and recorded ordinance is pending – however council did approve the subdivision.”
The Lennar subdivision will be a planned development with a minimum dwelling size of 1,000- square-feet in the 350-plus homes.
Charles said overall, there is a total of 10.3-acres of usable open space, 7.5-acres of flood plain and a parkland dedication consisting of 4.2 acres.
The site plan also includes a hike and bike trail on the south end of the property, which will be built in phases.
