MIDLOTHIAN – It’s been 15 years since Manna House’s resale shop, Heaven’s Attic, has undergone remodeling at 212 W. Avenue F. But when Heaven’s Attic holds its grand re-opening on Valentine’s Day, there will be few reminders of the store’s previous look.

Instead, fresh paint, new carpet, custom built-ins, and distinct merchandise departments laid out in expanded space are bringing Heaven’s Attic’s exciting new atmosphere to life.

“The store got shuffled and changed all the way around,” said Kim Mitchell, director of sales for Heaven’s Attic. “We have new registers, a new check-out counter, and the newly exposed brick and decor really adds to the overall look and classy feel.”

The store’s updated 3,000-square-foot layout will include women’s and men’s clothing, children’s, housewares, sporting goods, shoe, electronics, furniture, and home décor departments. Additionally, shoppers will still be able to enjoy browsing books, DVDs, bedding, artwork, small appliances, knickknacks, one-of-a-kind treasures, and more.

Local supporters who were instrumental in the shop’s renovation included Dixie Dodd, owner of Midlothian-based Southern Home Custom Furniture & Décor. Dodd served as general contractor during the remodeling process and built custom shelving for the store.

Additional area vendors included Living Right Designs, We Paint It All, American Integrity Home Inspections, Technagy IT, Texas Custom Commercial Floors, Sherwin Williams #7310, and Big D BBQ.

Mitchell said Heaven’s Attic customers will still be able to enjoy traditional sale events including Manly Mondays, Toys & Tots Tuesdays, Women’s Wednesdays, Thankful Thursdays, Freedom Fridays, and Super Sale Saturdays.

“I always tell our customers that their donations and store purchases have helped pay for someone’s water bill, electric bill, prescription medications, or put food on someone’s table,” said Mitchell.”
