DALLAS - Weather permitting, a $3.4-million project to improve the intersection of I-45 and Dowdy Ferry Rd. is scheduled to begin this week in Hutchins.
The project will construct additional turn lanes and U-turns at the intersection.
Traffic lanes may be narrowed or shifted during construction, and drivers should plan ahead for extra travel time in this area.
The project is expected to complete in fall 2022, weather permitting.
