WILMER – Members of the Wilmer city council are set to discuss housing tax credit financing this week.
Presentations for a development located south of Cottonwood Valley Rd. and north of Belt Line Rd. and another development south of Green Meadows Rd. and east of South Goode Rd. will be at 7 p.m. Thursday inside the council chambers at 101 Davidson Plaza.
The Cottonwood Valley Road/Belt Line Rd. location is on a little over 12 acres of land and the Green Meadows Rd./South Goode Rd. development is 21.53 acres.
The housing tax credit financing is given by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
The TDHCA administers the state of Texas’ Housing Tax Credit Program.
The program is one of the primary ways for TDHCA to direct private capital toward the development and preservation of affordable rental housing for low-income households.
The presentations are for a request for a “no objection” housing tax credit for the proposed multi-family developments and will be presented by two different companies interested in the city expansion projects.
