WILMER – There were dinosaurs dancing, TikTok routines loosely choreographed and videoed, cake walks and plenty of Halloween candy for all at the city of Wilmer’s annual Fall Festival.
Held this past Friday, area residents visited downtown to gather with neighbors and welcome the fall season alongside city staff, city council members and Mayor Sheila Petta.
Petta kicked off the event by going live on Facebook and reminding residents to come out and enjoy the evening.
“Come on out and join us for our fall fest,” Petta said.
“We have candy, we have toys and everyone is welcome so please come out and enjoy yourself and have a happy holiday.”
This year’s festival took place from 6 to 8 p.m. two days before Halloween. The city passed out candy for children to add to their trick-or-treat bags as well as other goodies while Halloween music played in the background.
