WILMER – The City of Wilmer took part in the 6th Annual Engaging Local Government Leaders City Hall Selfie Day Challenge on Aug. 13 along with cities from around the country.
“We enjoyed participating in the 6th Annual Engaging Local Government Leaders City Hall Selfie Day Challenge along with many other cities and counties,” said Rona Stringfellow, City Administrator, City of Wilmer.
The city entered selfies in categories including City Hall Selfie Day with an animal, best dressed, best hat, most historic, most selfies taken by one person and smallest population.
Focusing on local government and pride of city, there were trophies, recognition, and prizes for the people and organizations showing the most pride and creativity on that day.
“This event is a worldwide celebration of local government service as it showcases pride in local government by taking pictures in front of city halls and other government buildings.
