Wright-Ellzey face-off for Congress Dist 6

DISTRICT 6 – Susan Wright will face Jake Ellzey in a run-off election to be determined by Governor Greg Abbott.

Susan Wright scored Donald Trump’s endorsement, which helped catapult her to a first-place finish. 

She’ll meet state Rep. Jake Ellzey, R-Waxahachie, in a runoff likely be staged in July once Gov. Abbott sets a date.

Wright finished in first-place in a 23-person filed with 19-percent of the vote. 

Ellzey was second with nearly 14-percent, narrowly beating Democrat Jana Lynne Sanchez, who finished a close third with about 13-percent of the vote.
