The softball fields at Midlothian’s Sports Complex were the site of the annual Community Egg Hunt. Two-year-old cousins, Claire (L) and Maggie (R), waited patiently for the gates to open. Three-year-old Tagg prepared to fill his basket to the brim. Midlothian’s Mayor Richard Reno stopped to give the Easter Bunny a pep-talk. Hundreds of children made quick work of collecting an array of candies and prizes. The girls’ softball team from Midlothian High School pitched in to spread the goodies and entertain the crowd. Many thanks to event organizers, City of Midlothian Administration and Parks and Recreation Department, and sponsors and supporters for making this year’s event a success: Midlothian Community Development Corporation, Martin Marietta, Holcim, Taco Casa, Baylor Scott & White, Midlothian High School girls’ Softball Team, and Midlothian Methodist Medical Center.
