ELLIS COUNTY – On Monday, around 4:37 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were called to a one-vehicle crash on FM 1446 approximately three miles west of Interstate 35.
Preliminary investigation shows a black 2017 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling west on FM 1446 when it went into a left hand curve and drove off the roadway into the north ditch and through a barbed wire fence before the driver wax ejected off of the motorcycle.
The driver, identified as 46 year-old, Arthur William Gibbins III, of Waxahachie, was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace pct. 1, Chris Macon.
The investigation is still on-going, and there is no other information available at this time.
