CORSICANA – On Sunday at approximately 6:01 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were called to a two vehicle crash on the Interstate 45 southbound west service road approximately 100 yards south of the 244 exit, in Ellis County.  

Preliminary investigation shows a disabled grey Puegeot mini van was being pushed south by two males in the far right lane of the west service road. 

There were three males inside the mini van. 

A grey 2013 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling south on the west service road approaching the disabled mini van. 

For an as of yet unknown reason the driver of the Dodge failed to control its speed and struck the rear of the mini van. 

The two males that had been pushing the mini van were pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace, pct. 1, Chris Macon.

The three males in the mini van were not injured. 

The driver of the Dodge, 59 year-old, Valentine Campos, of Corsicana, was arrested and  transported to the Ellis County Jail where he was charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter, a 2nd degree Felony.

The investigation is still on-going and there is no other information available at this time.
