Palmer chief celebrates birthday

PALMER – Happy birthday to Palmer Police Chief John Zaidle, who turned 41-years-old on Nov. 11. 

Zaidle celebrated his birthday Tuesday at the Palmer Police Department, and those in attendance reminisced about the chief’s history with the city.

Zaidle has been with the Palmer Police Department for 19 years. 

Thirteen of those years as the Chief of the PD, and the additional years in various other positions.

“This makes his tenure as chief the longest held of any chief in Ellis County,” said Palmer Detective L. Armendariz from the Criminal Investigative Division.

Zaidle and his wife Erin live in Palmer and have been married for 20 years. She also works for the City of Palmer as the city secretary.
