ENNIS – Ennis quarterback Collin Drake made an impact through the air and on the ground, going 13-for-16 passing for 192 yards and two touchdowns and carrying the ball eight times for 102 yards and another score.
Ennis (4-0,1-0 8-5A Div. II) dominated throughout the firsthalf, scoring a touchdown on each possession. Royse City (2-2, 0-1) hung around until a safety midway through the second quarter opened the door for Ennis to extend the lead.
Devion Beasley had three touchdowns on nine carries and totaled 95 yards for Ennis. Royse City wide receiver Ketron Jackson hauled in six receptions for 129 yards and two scores.
