RED OAK – The fight against the Coronavirus is taking place right here in Ellis County.
A clinical study of treatment for the virus is being conducted by Epic Medical Research located in Red Oak.
The clinical research is being conducted by Dr. Haresh Boghara, Medical Director of Epic Medical Research and Amit Rajpara, RPH, Pharmacist and research advisor and Josie Quemado, M.D. Lead Research Coordinator as well as Nayshala Smith, Patient Care Coordinator.
The clinical research is to study individual patients who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or lives with someone who has recently been tested positive for COVID-19.
The minimum requirements are the individual must be at least 18-years-old, who is compliant with all program guidelines, and not currently involved in a clinical research trial. Eligible patients who participate in the clinical trials will be compensated for their time.
“We are committed to this clinical research in identifying a possible treatment for the virus and ask that citizens of Ellis County, who can meet the requirements contact us as soon as possible,” said Dr. Boghara.
