FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than books (June 18, 2020)

The Ferris Public Library is open for business!

Stacey Lankford and I are thrilled to be able to welcome you back. Our new hours are Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; closed Friday – Sunday.

We have new safety protocols to keep everyone healthy. A COVID-19 prescreening form must be filled out by every visitor, a temperature check, face coverings required, and observe a 6-foot distancing guideline.

A minor inconvenience – but well worth it for our citizens’ safety. We are cleaning computers after each use and disinfecting common areas, and door handles often. The City also has facilities professionally sprayed with virus disinfectant weekly.

Now let’s get to the fun stuff!

With being unable to have our regular Summer Reading Club, we will be hosting performers and activities on the Library’s Facebook page.

You do not have to be a member of Facebook to get to our page. A link will be posted on Mondays – one click and you’re there.

We have animal shows, cool science, magic, and more! All of the Summer Reading Club’s virtual shows are entertaining and educational.  For instance, after watching Critterman’s show, if your child has questions about any of the animals featured, let us know. We will get your questions to Critterman Dave, and he’ll make an exclusive video answering all of our questions.

On Tuesdays, you can visit the Ferris Public Library and pick up a free Grab & Go Activity Bag that has a craft and activities that your youngsters can do at home.

Become a Fan of the library on Facebook, and you’ll receive notifications as we post events.
