GUEST EDITORIAL: The issues are in your tissues

No matter how successful you get in your life, it’s difficult to shake your mind set.

If we want things to be different and improve the quality of living, have great enjoyment opportunities and bring a higher awareness to our city environment, there must be a shift in the way we think.

Why?

Because typically, how we think ends up being what we do or how we behave. We cannot continue to expect getting different and better results thinking the same old way.

Dr. Wayne Dwyer (a great spiritual leader) is quoted saying “Change your thought and change your life”.

We, at city council, are called to be pioneers of change; a change that will be evolutionary in the unfoldment of our city of Ferris. To do this, we must continue to work as One Team with One Objective.

This is to effectively serve our city population; to be good stewards of the resources that have been entrusted to us in service to our community.

This country was founded with faith, look at your dollar bills, what do they read? “In God We Trust!”

But how many times do we remember this? We all have been blessed with the freedom of choice; this is to exercise the selection of our best ideas in service of our fellow men. It is not enough to show up to each city council meeting and pray for “better outcomes,” for “guidance” in the name of “Jesus.”

We must strive to be those things for which we are praying and then we will see those things manifesting in our lives and our city.

The time to make positive change to happen in Ferris has always been in the NOW. In order to effectively do this, we must release limiting thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve us or our residents.

We must shift our mind and heart to the constant flow of ideas that are always available to us right now, but we must take time to listen and embrace these ideas.

With and in faith every need that this city need is being met. I will continue to work with our city council team to bring about solutions to continue to improve the quality of living, doing business and enjoyment of our city amenities.

I will ask from every citizen/resident of Ferris to bring feedback to us that will assist us with this endeavor.

I personally will continue to work with our team on Economic Development program for all; Improve the quality of water and on-going city beautification process.
