WAXAHACHIE – Hope Clinic will give back to its patients to mark National Health Center Week 2019, now through Aug. 9.
The effort is part of a national campaign to increase awareness of the ways health centers are providing affordable health care in communities.
Hope Clinic will have festivities throughout the week to celebrate their patients including popcorn and snow cones served on Friday, Aug. 9.
The week started with a declaration from the Waxahachie city council in recognition of National Health Center Week and the role Hope Clinic serves in the community.
Hope Clinic is part of a nationwide network of locally-run health centers that serve more than 28 million people nationwide.
“Hope Clinic has continued to serve the patients of Ellis County at a tremendous growth of 8400 unique patients at the end of 2018,” said Barbara Clark CEO. “The patient visit count was over 26,000. We expect continued growth as the community expands and a greater need to provide services for uninsured, medicare, medicaid and other residents in Ellis County.”
Located in Waxahachie, Texas, Hope Clinic became a Federally Qualified Health Center in 2009, offering a sliding fee discount to the uninsured and underserved in and around Ellis County.
