Victron Energy has provided grants to Red Oak ISD campuses since 2011 through the ExxonMobil Educational Alliance Program.

FM 664 widening Public Hearing June 27

FERRIS – The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed widening of FM 664 from Interstate 35E in Red Oak to Interstate 45 south in Ferris in Ellis County.
The purpose of the hearing is to present the planned improvements and receive public comment.

Joshua C. Johnson, 36, died Saturday at his home in DeSoto. Johnson was well known and respected in the southwest Dallas County and Ellis County communities, where he served as chief executive editor of Focus Daily News from 2007 to present.

RED OAK – As a series of storms rolled through the Ellis County area over the weekend, some residents in cities like Red Oak awoke Sunday morning to no electricity.
The first storms came through around 4 a.m. and electricity went down for residents in Red Oak until around 11 a.m.
