AUSTIN — With the severe weather season upon us, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar reminds Texans they can purchase certain items tax-free during the state’s sales tax holiday for emergency preparation supplies, which begins at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, and ends at midnight on Monday, April 24.

Possessing child pornography gets Waxahachie man 20 years

WAXAHACHE – Richard Austin Bisbing, 62, of Waxahachie, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for 37 counts of possession of child pornography, according to a statement from Ellis County and District Attorney Ann Montgomery.The sentences for the offenses will run concurrently.
