Wilmer Mayor releases holiday wish list request application

WILMER – New Wilmer Mayor Sheila Petta has stepped into her role nicely and while wishing everyone a happy holiday, she is also reminding residents of her Mayor’s Wish List.

From now until Dec. 16, individual families can request their child to be placed on the City of Wilmer’s “Mayor’s Wish List.”

To apply for your family to be added, your application will be accepted at the City Hall Utility Billing window - 128 N. Dallas Avenue – until end of business day next Wednesday, Dec. 16.

Any parent or legal guardian can submit an application on behalf of their family. 

In order to apply, families need to be prepared to provide a proof of residency document along with the application. 

“Complete the application with your child’s top three wishes under $25,” the application announcement reads. 

“Families are requested not to ask for support through the Mayor’s Wish List program. 

“This allows us to provide toys to as many children throughout our city as possible.”   

The gift distribution dates will begin Tuesday, Dec. 22.
