WILMER – The City of Wilmer began helping residents register for the COVID-19 vaccination this week.

Between Feb. 8 to 26, Wilmer residents can receive help in person or by phone to register for the COVID-19 vaccine.

For those wanting to receive assistance in person, both the Wilmer Fire Station No. 1 at 1420 N. Goode Road or Wilmer City Hall have available persons to help.

Vaccination assistance is Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon, and Tuesday and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. in person at these locations.

The Dallas County Health and Human Services registration hotline is 1-855-466.8639.

Hotline hours are seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Registration assistance is available in English or Spanish for those who prefer to call in for registration assistance.

There is also registration through UT Southwestern for patients who meet the necessary eligibility criteria.

Visit https://utswmed.org/covid-19/covid-19-vaccination/ for more information.

Eligible patients can sign up and use the vaccination hub at Southwest Center (formally Red Bird) Mall at 3550 W. Camp Wisdom Road in Dallas.

As a state-designated vaccination hub, UT Southwestern and Southwest Center Mall are currently vaccinating Texans who meet the Texas Phase 1B criteria including a number of chronic medical conditions and individuals with other conditions identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as potentially high risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
