WAXAHACHIE – Waxahachie Police Department is investigating a series of theft and credit card abuse incidents which were first reported earlier this month.

The first incident occurred in the 200 block of YMCA Drive when the suspect was seen on video removing credit cards from the victim’s wallet. The credit card was later used at a Best Buy.

In this incident, the suspect entered the business and began talking with staff.

When the staff member walked away the suspect entered the victim’s purse and stole the credit cards.

A second incident occurred in the 1700 block of North 77.

Police were called to the theft after the suspect apparently stole credit cards from the victim’s purse when she had left the suspect alone also after a series of questions.

The investigation is ongoing, and police describe the suspect as a black female about 5’2 in her early 20s. She is reportedly driving a four-door, white Kia passenger car with a sunroof and paper license plate on the rear of the vehicle.
