WAXAHACHE – There are angels in Waxahachie. If you don’t believe it, just ask the Waxahachie Police Department.
The PD’s Angel Tree with 35 angels have all been adopted from the tree for the holiday season.
In conjunction with the Salvation Army who are the organizers of the program, Waxahachie PD’s Angel Tree is designed for children, and the gifts are being collected next week, Dec. 6.
Waxahachie Police Department Community Services Officer James Taylor said he was uncertain how long the Waxahachie Police Department has been partnering with the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, but definitely for a number of years.
“The program is designed by the Salvation Army, and they coordinate what children are placed on the Angels,” Taylor concluded.
