ELLIS COUNTY – A Texas National Movement meeting this past Thursday focused on Critical Race Theory and Texit.
Red Oak ISD School Board trustee and guest speaker Penny Story talked about Critical Race Theory in Texas schools with an introduction by Paul Robie, District Director for Senate District 22.
Robie, who would like to see Texas secede, discussed what he believed is a best case scenario in the matter noting the earliest Texas could become its own nation would be 2028 or 2029 if the bill passed in 2023.
“Texas is the eighth or ninth largest economy in the world,” Robie said.
“Our goal is not to have a union. We have enough of our own resources.”
Continuing to Critical Race Theory, Story said, “Critical Race Theory is outright Marxism Theory is not a fact.
“This can cause duress against someone who has been repeatedly told they are being oppressed. It is a power struggle and a forced situation.”
Story explained Critical Race Theory was formulated in the 1990’s and divides people along racial lines.
She added, “We are created as individuals and are all unique. Marxism is collectivism and it destroys family and removes God. The state becomes more important.”
