Ennis roadwork begins this week
ENNIS – The city of Ennis began a roadwork project this past Monday, March 17.
According to city officials, Ennis contracted a third-party contractor to reconstruct Ennis Parkway from HWY 287 to approximately 3401 Ennis Parkway.
The project is scheduled to take up to two-and-a-half weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Avoid this area if possible due to heavy traffic due to the construction.
A City of Ennis FB post suggested using Nesuda Drive as an alternate route during the timeframe for the scheduled roadwork project.
Take an alternate route in Red Oak
RED OAK – Drivers will want to take an alternate route in Red Oak for the next few weeks versus getting caught up in snarled traffic due to lane closures on East Ovilla Road.
The lane closures began on Wednesday, March 12 through Friday, April 4.
The right westbound lane along Ovilla Road will be closed Monday to Friday during these dates from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Driveways will also be closed at various times throughout each phase of the project, with only one entrance closed at a time.
