    RED OAK – The new residential development, The Oaks, is underway just behind or West of The Oaks Church at the I-35E southbound service road and the State Highway 77 intersection in Red Oak.

    The full built out on this development is estimated to be 650 new homes, with approximately 108 homes completed in each of the following years: 2022, 2023 and 2024.

    Construction and installation of utilities started early this year.

    In addition, the 188-unit Legacy Square Apartment complex is fast approaching completion.

    This complex will eventually be accessible from the I-35E southbound frontage road (Ovilla Rd. exit) and from Ovilla Rd.

    The complex is just south and east of the Creek Bend, Meadow Ridge, and Summerwood residential developments and can be easily seen from Interstate 35E
