RED OAK – The Red Oak Walmart saw criminal activity this month when a suspect went on a purse snatching spree Dec. 12 and 19, between noon and 2 p.m. in both incidents.
The suspect, described only as a black male, pulled a silver vehicle up next to the victims, reached out and grabbed the victims’ purses.
Later, the suspect attempted to use the one of the victim’s credit cards at the Target and the DTLR in the Wheatland Town Crossing shopping center in Dallas.
If anyone has information about the identity of the suspect, please contact Sgt. Gary Dollar at 469-218-7710 or gdollar@redoaktx.org.
The video of the offenses, along with the suspect attempting to use the victim’s credit card can be viewed at http://youtu.be/WxwtzD123Zw.
From earlier this month, Red Oak Police also executed an arrest warrant for the Aggravated Robbery in the 100 block of Summit.
Guillermo Rubi, a Hispanic male, 19, was identified as one of the suspects, and was already in the Dallas County Jail when the warrant was served.
Police had earlier located the 2016 Red Nissan Sentra that was stolen in the aggravated robbery in South Dallas.
At that time, the suspects in the crime had been described as two young black male subjects. The first suspect displayed a handgun and was the one who ordered the victim from the vehicle at gunpoint.
The second suspect was also described as young, but with no clothing description.
The victim did not sustain injuries during the incident.
Rubi has been linked as the subject who possibly displayed the firearm in the Dec. 3 crime when he and possibly two additional suspects robbed the victim of her vehicle and mobile phone.
If anyone has additional information, please contact Detective Keven Hughes at 469-218-7707 or khughes@redoaktx.org.
