RED OAK – Red Oak Hawk Theatre presents the thought provoking comedy “9 to 5” on Friday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Jan. 12 at both 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Red Oak High School’s Performing Arts Center.

Based on the 1980 movie of the same name and featuring music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, “9 to 5” is the story of friendship in the rolodex era. It follows the story of three coworkers Violet, Judy and Doralee and their dissatisfaction with workplace conditions. Pushed to the boiling point by their obnoxious boss Franklin Hart Jr., they take matters into their own hands. In a hilarious turn of events, the women work together to give their workplace a much needed makeover.

The cast includes Donae Swanson as Violet, Emma Pitts as Doralee, Abigail Vinson as Judy, Zion Blair as Hart, Jayden Douglas as Roz, and Drew Davis as Joe.

Directed by Red Oak High School directors Katrina Keener and Joseph Thomas, Red Oak Hawk Theatre can’t wait to bring to life this don’t-miss show on the Performing Arts Center Stage.

Tickets are available online at Redoakhs.seatyourself.biz or at the door. Adults are $10 and student tickets are $8. There will also be a silent auction with products and services from local businesses and individuals. The auction will be open during each performance, so come prepared to be entertained and to support these talented hardworking students.
